SENIOR COMPENSATION CONSULTANT: DETAILS
Location: Nashville, TN
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $35-$55/hr
Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CT
REQUIREMENTS: SENIOR COMPENSATION CONSULTANT
* 3+ years of experience in compensation and classification experience
* Expertise in compensation strategy, job architecture, career leveling, market pricing, and salary structure development
* Strong knowledge of salary administration, internal equity, job evaluation, and FLSA compliance
* Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
* Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities
* Experience in higher education, public sector, or other regulated environments preferred
* Familiarity with HRIS/reporting systems such as Banner, Argos, or similar platforms
RESPONSIBILITIES: SENIOR COMPENSATION CONSULTANT
* Support and execute compensation redesign initiatives and ongoing compensation operations
* Manage compensation requests, salary reviews, and classification evaluations
* Analyze hiring, promotion, retention, and market adjustment recommendations
* Maintain compensation workflows, documentation, audit records, and approval tracking
* Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Talent Acquisition on compensation-related decisions
* Coordinate with external compensation consultants and translate recommendations into actionable plans
* Perform job evaluations, market pricing, and salary structure implementation activities
* Audit employee, position, and compensation data for accuracy and compliance
* Develop reports, implementation files, procedures, training materials, and manager resources
* Support HRIS and payroll implementation efforts, testing, and data validation
* Assist with policy development, annual compensation planning, and equity analysis
* Train designated team members and ensure a smooth transition of processes and documentation
* This position plays a key role in maintaining compensation programs, supporting strategic compensation initiatives, ensuring data integrity, and driving successful implementation of compensation redesign efforts.
