Contract HR Generalist
Location: Hybrid in Waltham, MA (onsite 2-3 days/week)
A biotech client in Waltham, MA, is looking to hire a contract HR Generalist for a 6-month assignment to start, with potential to extend. This role will support new hire onboarding, benefits and leave of absence administration, reporting, HRIS updates, HR operations questions, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Manage HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including new hire onboarding and offboarding.
- Serve as a key resource for employee inquiries, leave administration, benefits operations, immigration, and mobility programs, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain HR records, conduct audits, and oversee compliance-related documentation.
- Produce HR reports, data analyses, and operational updates for HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and leadership teams.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of progressive experience in HR operations or HR systems support
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Adept in HR analytics and HRIS systems (Workday HCM preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
