Federal Financial Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Federal Financial Analyst to support financial management, budgeting, and analysis within a federal government contracting environment. The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of federal government finance experience with a strong background in budgeting, financial analysis, government contracting, burn-rate monitoring, funding tracking, and invoicing. This individual will work closely with client and subcontractor stakeholders and support financial reporting and presentations for executive leadership. An active Secret clearance is required, with Top Secret clearance strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis and reporting
- Develop and manage program budgets
- Track funding and burn rates
- Monitor contract financial performance
- Support client and subcontractor budgeting
- Manage financial tracking and invoicing
- Analyze expenditures and funding utilization
- Prepare executive-level financial presentations
- Develop financial reports in Microsoft Excel
- Create PowerPoint presentations for leadership
- Support federal contracting financial activities
- Develop and improve financial SOPs
- Establish standardized financial processes
- Coordinate financial information across stakeholders
- Support client and subcontractor processes
- Communicate financial findings to leadership
These responsibilities reflect the client’s stated emphasis on budgeting for the client and subcontractors, financial analysis, burn-rate and funding tracking, federal contracting, executive presentations, and SOP/process development.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of federal government finance experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related discipline
- Active Secret security clearance or higher
- Strong federal government contracting background
- Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
- Experience tracking funding and burn rates
- Experience with invoicing and contract financial management
- Experience supporting client and subcontractor budgets
- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience developing and presenting executive-level presentations
- Experience developing SOPs and improving financial processes
- Ability to work primarily on-site
