Accounts Payable Specialist- Washington, DC
Beacon Hill Financial is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a client in the Washington, DC area. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing high-volume invoice processing, vendor communications, and account reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Process and code vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process payments including ACH, wire, and check runs
- Maintain vendor records and ensure proper documentation
- Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payment inquiries
- Support process improvements and ensure compliance with company procedures
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Experience processing high-volume invoices
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
