Staff Accountant
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing SaaS organization. This role will support month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles within a recurring revenue business model.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Analyze financial data and investigate account variances
- Support revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting
- Assist with audits and preparation of supporting schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Experience working in a SaaS, technology, or subscription-based business preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- CPA or CPA-track is a plus
Preferred Experience
- SaaS or software industry experience
- Revenue recognition and deferred revenue exposure
- Experience in a high-growth or fast-paced environment
