Junior Accountant – Mystic, CT
Our client, a professional services-focused organization, is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of accounting functions, including account reconciliations, financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine accounting activities and maintenance of financial records
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Support financial reporting and analyze variances in accounting data
  • Prepare and maintain reports using Excel and other business systems
  • Contribute to operational and process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with data management, system updates, and record maintenance projects
  • Participate in special projects and provide general accounting support as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; Finance, Economics, or related field considered
  • Prior accounting internship or relevant professional experience preferred
  • Exposure to E-Finance, Frontline, UKG, MUNIS, or similar platforms is a plus
