Beacon Hill Financial is seeking a Contract to Hire Staff Accountant for our client in the Maple Plain Area. This role is 100% onsite and offers pay ranging from $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience.

Duties:

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Oversee payroll, sales tax, business tax filings, W-2s, 1099s, and compliance requirements.
• Handle banking activities, deposits, loan tracking, and account reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external CPA firms, auditors, insurance providers, and financial institutions.
• Support budgeting, expense reporting, collections, and annual financial reporting.
• Maintain business licenses, technical certifications, and required corporate documentation.
• Administer workers’ compensation reporting and insurance claims.
• Assist with HR and accounting policy administration and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
