Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking a Director, Talent Acquisition to join its growing team in Staten Island, NY. This is a highly visible, strategic opportunity to build and lead a scalable recruiting function in support of the organization’s continued national expansion. This individual will partner closely with HR leadership and key stakeholders to align hiring strategies with workforce planning and organizational priorities. In this role, you will oversee full-cycle recruitment across the organization, develop and execute talent acquisition strategies, and build strong, diverse pipelines across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, a strategic mindset, and a hands-on approach within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. - Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including full-cycle recruiting and team leadership.
- Proven experience building and scaling recruiting functions in a growing or multi-site organization.
- Strong experience developing talent acquisition strategies aligned with workforce planning and organizational goals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high-performing recruiting teams.
- Strong sourcing and pipeline development experience across multiple channels and markets.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting analytics; Paylocity experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of federal and multi-state employment laws and compliant hiring practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Prior experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization preferred.
- Ability to work onsite in Staten Island five days a week.
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
The salary for this role is $100,000 – $110,000 per year.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
