Litigation Paralegal

A highly respected Am Law firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its Denver office. This is a full-time opportunity supporting attorneys in a sophisticated litigation practice focused on environmental, public lands, natural resources, energy, and other complex commercial matters.

The position offers a hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 remote day per week. Please note that this schedule was recently updated, and the firm is not offering additional flexibility beyond the designated remote day. The salary range for this position is $95,000-$120,000, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience within a law firm environment. Candidates with experience supporting environmental, energy, commercial, or other complex civil litigation matters are strongly preferred. Trial and trial preparation experience are highly valued.

Skills required and Job Duties include the following:

Job Duties:

  • Draft, prepare, and file pleadings and other documents in state and federal courts
  • Manage case files and maintain litigation calendars and deadlines
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of discovery, including document review and production
  • Prepare exhibits, witness binders, and trial materials for depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Coordinate with court reporters, process servers, expert witnesses, and other third parties
  • Assist with eDiscovery matters and management of electronically stored information
  • Prepare medical chronologies and case summaries
  • Cite check and format legal documents, including Bluebook citations when applicable
  • Support attorneys through trial preparation and, when needed, trial attendance
  • Organize and maintain large volumes of case documents and records

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting
  • Experience supporting complex litigation matters
  • Trial preparation experience required; actual trial experience is a plus
  • Experience preparing medical chronologies is highly preferred
  • Bluebook citation experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity or iPro is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
