Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Senior Trust & Estate Paralegal to join its Trusts, Estates & Wealth Preservation practice. This role partners closely with attorneys and other professionals to manage sophisticated estate and trust matters from inception through completion while delivering responsive, high-quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare probate documents, court petitions, related filings, and federal and state estate, inheritance, income, and gift tax returns.
- Administer estate and trust assets from inception through termination, including gathering information, coordinating valuations, maintaining accountings, transferring assets, and overseeing beneficiary distributions.
- Conduct due diligence and document reviews, and produce polished final deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary contact for attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, beneficiaries, and third parties while supporting special projects and training junior team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree with a paralegal certificate, plus at least five years of trust and estate administration experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Experience preparing estate, inheritance, income, and gift tax returns, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF tools, document management systems, and timekeeping software.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and client-service skills, with exceptional attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential matters.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines, train junior team members, meet billable-hour requirements, and work overtime or travel as needed.
