Summary
We’re seeking a highly hands-on Senior Test Automation Developer to help advance quality engineering initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building automation solutions, improving testing efficiency with Playwright, and driving modernization efforts across critical applications. You’ll play a key role in creating scalable automated testing capabilities while helping shape the future automation strategy through framework innovation and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
Automation Strategy & Framework Development
- Design and enhance scalable automation solutions for web and API testing.
- Contribute to the evolution of testing standards, automation architecture, and quality engineering best practices.
- Help modernize automation capabilities through framework enhancements and platform migrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve test stability, coverage, and execution speed.
Quality Engineering & Validation
- Build automated test coverage for business-critical workflows and applications.
- Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and API test scenarios.
- Validate application data and business processes through database and backend testing.
- Analyze defects, investigate failures, and work closely with development teams on resolution efforts.
CI/CD & Continuous Testing
- Integrate automation into modern delivery pipelines to support rapid and reliable releases.
- Improve test execution efficiency, reporting, and deployment confidence.
- Support release readiness activities and overall quality validation efforts.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Partner with developers, analysts, and product teams to improve testability and quality outcomes.
- Provide guidance on automation patterns, tooling, and efficient testing approaches.
- Contribute to complex automation initiatives that support long-term technology goals.
What You Bring
- Strong background in test automation engineering, SDET, or quality engineering roles.
- Professional experience developing automation using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience with modern UI automation tools, including Playwright and ideally TestComplete.
- Ability to design, maintain, and improve automated testing frameworks.
- Experience validating REST APIs and backend integrations.
- Familiarity with SQL and database validation techniques.
- Exposure to CI/CD environments using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Experience working with source control systems in collaborative development environments.
- Comfortable operating as an individual contributor with a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.
- Experience supporting Agile software delivery teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience assisting organizations with automation framework migrations.
- Exposure to Angular-based web applications.
- Familiarity with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar API testing platforms.
- Experience incorporating AI-assisted testing techniques into quality practices.
- Background transitioning manual testing processes into automation solutions.
- Knowledge of additional modern automation frameworks and testing technologies.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, TFS, or related testing and release management platforms.
