Summary

This is a hands-on opportunity for an IT support professional who enjoys solving user issues while contributing to a large-scale technology refresh. You’ll support employees across desktop, laptop, application, access, and connectivity needs while helping prepare and deploy new devices. The role offers meaningful exposure to enterprise support technologies and Level II troubleshooting without requiring candidates to check every technical box.

About the Opportunity

Join an enterprise technology team during a highly visible device modernization initiative supporting a broad user community. You’ll work alongside service desk and infrastructure professionals, gaining deeper experience with endpoint deployment, troubleshooting, and enterprise support processes.
This is an excellent opportunity to expand beyond traditional help desk responsibilities, take ownership of more complex issues, and build experience that can lead toward advanced desktop, endpoint, or infrastructure support roles. There may also be an opportunity for the assignment to extend beyond the initial project.

What You’ll Do

Endpoint Deployment & User Readiness

Help ensure employees receive properly configured technology and can get productive quickly.
  • Prepare, image, configure, and deploy laptops using SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager and Windows PE
  • Assist employees with initial device setup and onboarding
  • Install and configure hardware, software, peripherals, and mobile devices
  • Support asset tracking and endpoint lifecycle activities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Provide responsive Level I and II assistance across common enterprise technology issues.
  • Diagnose Windows, hardware, application, and connectivity problems
  • Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Citrix environments
  • Troubleshoot authentication, password, VPN, and network connectivity issues
  • Provide assistance through phone, remote-support tools, and in-person support

Service Delivery & Collaboration

Create a positive user experience while keeping issues moving toward resolution.
  • Manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow
  • Clearly document troubleshooting steps, findings, and resolutions
  • Escalate complex issues and collaborate with service desk and infrastructure teams
  • Contribute to knowledge articles and reusable support documentation
  • Participate in deployment efforts and other technology initiatives as needs evolve

What You Bring

You’ll thrive in this position if you have a strong troubleshooting foundation, enjoy helping end users, and are comfortable learning new technologies.
A competitive background will typically include:
  • Around 2+ years of help desk, service desk, desktop support, or comparable end-user IT support experience
  • Experience diagnosing laptops, desktops, printers, applications, or similar endpoint technology
  • Familiarity with Windows workstation environments and common Microsoft productivity tools
  • Exposure to PC imaging, deployment, endpoint configuration, or device provisioning
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and documenting technical resolutions
  • Familiarity with user account and access support, such as Active Directory
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills, particularly when translating technical issues for nontechnical users
  • Ability to take ownership of problems and work through operating system, application, hardware, and connectivity issues
You do not need experience with every technology listed to be considered. Candidates with solid desktop-support fundamentals, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly are encouraged to apply.

Nice to Have

Additional experience in any of these areas can help you make an impact, but these are not prerequisites:
  • SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager or Windows PE
  • Citrix support or administration
  • Okta or other identity and authentication platforms
  • VPN, wireless, wired, or endpoint networking troubleshooting
  • Bomgar or comparable remote-support tools
  • SharePoint support
  • AWS Connect or another contact-center platform
  • Knowledge-base or technical documentation development
  • IT asset and endpoint lifecycle management
  • Level II or remote-workforce support experience

What Success Looks Like

You’ll make an impact by getting devices into users’ hands efficiently, resolving issues with minimal disruption, and leaving clear documentation that helps the broader support team. Success also means knowing when to dig deeper, when to escalate, and how to give users a consistently positive support experience.
