Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
- Monitor program spending and analyze budget-to-actual performance.
- Support annual budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
- Process accounts payable, cash receipts, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with grant financial reporting and expense allocations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and audit schedules.
- Support audits, compliance requirements, 1099 filings, and sales tax reporting.
- Assist with board reporting and special finance projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting software.
- Experience with budgeting, audits, and account reconciliations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
