Beacon Hill’s client, a Seattle-based civil defense litigation law firm, is seeking an Associate or Of Counsel Attorney to support its litigation practice. The firm is looking for an attorney with an insurance defense background and strong hands-on litigation experience.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for candidates who have handled insurance defense, general liability, personal injury defense, premises liability, construction defect, coverage, bad faith, or similar civil litigation matters.

This is a great opportunity for a litigation attorney looking for a temporary-to- direct hire role with a collaborative Seattle litigation team.

• Location: Onsite – Seattle, WA 98104
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Open-ended, with potential for conversion to direct hire
• Hours: Full-time
• Pay: $65-$77/hour, depending on experience

Qualifications:

• Active U.S. bar admission in good standing; Washington State bar admission preferred
• 2+ years of strong substantive litigation experience
• Insurance defense experience strongly preferred
• Experience with discovery, depositions, mediations, and case management
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

Responsibilities may include:

• Managing litigation matters from intake through resolution
• Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
• Handling written discovery and document review
• Conducting legal research and case analysis
• Preparing for and attending depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial-related proceedings
• Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal teams
• Supporting case strategy and settlement evaluation
