About the Role
Will develop and maintain backend APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native architecture for enterprise-scale service integrations. Design API-driven backend services that integrate internal platforms, external clients, and third-party vendor systems using clean request/response contracts, validation, and secure service communication. Implement Spring Boot services with layered architecture including controllers, services, repositories, DTOs, centralized exception handling, request validation, and reusable business-rule components. Implement secure backend services using authentication, authorization, Spring Security concepts, JWT validation, token-based access, stateless sessions, and service-level access controls. Deploy and maintain containerized backend services using Docker and Kubernetes concepts, including environment configuration, readiness/liveness checks, service scaling, and safe rollout practices. Build event-driven and integration-heavy backend workflows using pub/sub concepts, Kafka-style messaging, asynchronous processing, idempotency, retries, and replay-safe consumer logic. Design resilient integration flows with retry handling, dead-letter queue awareness, correlation IDs, structured logging, graceful error handling, and production-support diagnostics. Support CI/CD processes using tools and practices similar to GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, pull-request validation, automated builds, test execution, and controlled production releases. Use Git-based workflows, pull requests, branching strategies, code reviews, and release coordination to maintain code quality and reduce deployment risk. Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, Postman-style API validation, and backend testing practices to verify API behavior, error handling, validation logic, and business rules. Perform code quality checks through pull request reviews, clean coding standards, maintainable design patterns, and consistent API implementation guidelines. Provide production support by debugging API failures, reviewing logs and metrics, identifying root causes, coordinating fixes, and prioritizing defects based on business impact. Monitor and improve backend reliability using structured logs, metrics, tracing concepts, dashboards, operational runbooks, and clear incident triage practices. Research and evaluate emerging backend, cloud, API management, and DevOps technologies to improve architecture, scalability, security, performance, and release reliability.
