Beacon Hill is seeking candidates for a Jr. V&V Engineer (Technician Level I-II) role! Our client is looking for candidates with an electrical background who have experience with wiring and familiarity with testing. This is a team-focused role, and emphasizes team communication, work, and attitude.
In this position, you will be working on a gas leak detection device. You will collaborate with other technicians to detect gas leaks, conduct hand testing, work with sensors, and create automated gas detection graphs.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Multidisciplinary Aptitude: Strong foundational understanding of integrated electrical, mechanical, and software engineering concepts.
Testing Methodologies: Understanding of system, integration, and regression testing.
Test Tools: Familiarity with tracking and automation platforms like Jira and TestRail.
Excel: IF, INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, Tables, Pivot Tables, Conditional formatting, Named Ranges, Charts
Nice to Haves:
- LabView: User Interface Design, including controls and indicators, layout organization and Programming Basics including, data flow logic, structures and data types.
- Programming and Scripting: Knowledge of languages like Python, C++, or Java to write and run test scripts.
- Hazardous Gas Manipulation: Hands-on competency in safely handling, plumbing, and regulator-routing toxic and combustible gases (e.g., carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, methane).
- Environmental Chamber Testing: Experience configuring gas concentrations inside closed environmental test chambers to simulate extreme field conditions (temperature, humidity, altitude).
SOFT SKILLS
We are looking for self-starters; individuals who can take guidance from senior engineers and are able to apply critical thinking to their tasks. Open communication is also crucial.
Problem-Solving mindset: Troubleshooting issues and working with engineers to fix bugs.
Attention to Detail: Spotting minor discrepancies between expected and actual software behavior.
Communication: Writing clear test cases, bug reports, and documenting test results for the team.
