Our client near Boston MA is seeking a remote part-time Senior IT Budget Manager with experience managing large IT Budgets. Someone local to New England would be great but this role is fully remote. There is a strong opportunity to transition to a full-time salaried role.

Rate: $45-47/hr

Hours: must be available for 15 core business hours a week with flexibility, this role is not suitable for someone currently working in a full time position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial management and support for IT teams
  • Open AP purchase orders and process invoices
  • Manage financial transactions in Workday
  • Ensure invoices are paid on time and charged to correct budgets
  • Manage obligation requests, entries, and ongoing monitoring
  • Ensure annual financial obligations are met
  • Partner with the Budget Office on budget analysis and forecasting
  • Support leadership decision‑making with financial insights and recommendations
  • Serve as liaison between IT leadership and the Budget Office
  • Support annual budget planning, approvals, and quarterly forecasts
  • Perform financial analysis for leases and vendor proposals
  • Review and validate billing, payments, and vendor charges
  • Align divisional spending plans with strategic initiatives
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed

Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Experience with enterprise IT Budgets (10M+ annual)
  • Strong data analysis and business acumen
  • Experience with SaaS financial and budgeting systems
  • Familiarity with Workday Financials and Adaptive Insights
  • Experience delivering monthly financial and budget reporting
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Comfortable working with senior leadership
