Location: 5 days/week on site in Plymouth Meeting, PA
Duration: 1-2+ year contract
Position Description:
- Rebuild compiled code
- Lead end‑to‑end embedded Linux, firmware, and SoC development
- Serve as the primary technical authority for system architecture, board support, real‑time performance, and hardware integration
- Own design, implementation, debugging, and optimization across Linux, firmware, FPGA, and custom hardware
- Deliver immediate impact by taking over a long‑standing, highly specialized role with minimal ramp‑up
Required Skills:
- Active U.S. Government security clearance
- Deep experience with real‑time operating systems (RTOS) and deterministic system design
- Mastery of C, C++, C#, and ability to read/write assembly
- Expert in TCP/IP, low‑latency networking, and data‑path optimization
- Proven ability to deliver sub‑5‑ms TCP/UDP clients/servers in embedded environments
- Senior‑level embedded Linux development (multi‑threaded, PThreads, kernel, drivers)
- Custom Board Support Package (BSP) development for ARM‑based SoCs
- Extensive experience with Microchip ARM‑based SoCs
- Strong electronic hardware fluency for board bring‑up, validation, and troubleshooting
- Experience building customized GUIs for embedded graphical interfaces
