IT Product Owner

We are seeking an experienced IT Product Owner to support the evolution of internal business applications and customer-facing workflow tools within an enterprise environment. This individual will partner closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and operational leadership to drive product enhancements, workflow improvements, and strategic initiatives across multiple platforms.

This role is focused on true Product Ownership -not just requirements gathering. The ideal candidate is someone who can think strategically, prioritize effectively, communicate confidently across teams, and independently drive initiatives forward in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize product backlogs, features, and enhancement requests across multiple initiatives
  • Partner with stakeholders, developers, and analysts to define product direction and business priorities
  • Lead feature ownership from concept through delivery while balancing business value, user experience, and technical considerations
  • Drive workflow optimization and process improvement initiatives across operational systems
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives
  • Analyze user workflows, identify friction points, and recommend scalable solutions
  • Support decision-making related to integrations, downstream operational impacts, and future platform enhancements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience specifically in a Product Owner role required
  • Willing to go onsite up to 4 days.
  • Strong experience owning product backlogs, feature prioritization, and delivery initiatives
  • Experience working directly with stakeholders, developers, and business teams to drive product strategy and execution
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining execution-focused and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable operating independently with minimal handholding in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience with enterprise applications, workflow tools, ERP systems, configurators, or quoting platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools preferred
