Location: Hybrid West Chester, PA (2 days/week on site required)
Duration: 9+ month contract
Seeking a Senior Application Developer to lead the rebuild of a legacy .NET application into a modern Node.js and React-based platform. This is a highly autonomous role where you will own the end-to-end modernization effort, leveraging AI-assisted development tools and cloud-native practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently rebuild a legacy .NET application using Node.js, React, and modern frameworks
- Own full lifecycle development including architecture, design, development, and deployment
- Collaborate with architecture, product, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Implement API-driven architecture and modern frontend frameworks
- Apply strong DevOps practices, CI/CD, and AWS cloud services
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and maintainability
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of full stack development experience
- Strong expertise in Node.js, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience modernizing or rebuilding legacy applications (preferably .NET to Node/React)
- Strong DevOps experience and familiarity with AWS architecture
- Experience with REST APIs and Agile/Scrum delivery
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a loosely defined environment
