Senior Accountant – Allentown, PA
Our client in the Allentown, PA area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, assisting with financial reporting, and partnering with leadership on key accounting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end and year-end close process
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Analyze financial data and identify process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting projects and initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
