Required Skills:
4+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on SAP Commerce (Hybris) development
Strong experience designing, developing, and customizing SAP Commerce (Hybris) backend solutions, including extensions, integrations, APIs, and business process workflows
Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and object-oriented programming principles
Experience integrating SAP Commerce with third-party applications, web services, and enterprise systems
Demonstrated daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar coding assistants
Strong understanding of software development best practices, including testing, debugging, code reviews, and version control
Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and business partners
Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
Experience supporting enterprise-level eCommerce platforms with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
Desired Skills:
Experience with specific Hybris modules: Product Catalog, Promotions, Order Management, Customer Support, Backoffice
Experience integrating SAP Commerce with custom microservices
Relational database / Solr search-indexing experience
Enterprise-scale project experience
Description of Role/Responsibilities/Project Description:
Beacon Hill Solutions Group is looking for a Hybris Developer to support one of our clients’ enterprise eCommerce initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing SAP Commerce (Hybris) solutions that support critical customer-facing digital experiences. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Hybris backend development, platform customization, integrations, and enterprise-scale application support.
The Hybris Developer will partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design technical solutions, develop custom extensions, and integrate SAP Commerce with internal and external systems. This individual will leverage modern development practices, including AI-assisted coding tools, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. The role requires strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, APIs, and enterprise application integration, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Successful candidates will have experience working within Agile environments and supporting large-scale eCommerce platforms. Experience with SAP Commerce modules such as Product Catalog, Promotions, Order Management, Customer Support, and Backoffice is highly desired. Additional experience with microservices, relational databases, Solr search and indexing, cloud technologies, and enterprise integrations will be considered a strong plus.
