Required Skills:
3+ years of experience supporting Audio/Visual equipment, classroom technology, and basic hardware setup.
Comfortable working in a hands-on environment, including performing sound checks, testing AV equipment, and assisting speakers with microphones and presentation setup
Excellent customer service with clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to walk end users through technical solutions clearly, patiently, and effectively.
Basic knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, user accounts, software installs, and standard troubleshooting procedures.
Ability to follow documented processes and escalate issues when necessary.
Comfortable working onsite and providing face‑to‑face support.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
Associate degree required; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus
Desired Skills:
Ability to remain composed and responsive in fast-paced, high-visibility event settings
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving and event support
Ideal candidate would be Bilingual with both English & Spanish
Familiarity with learning management systems, including Canvas and Blackboard
Description of Role/Responsibilities/Project: Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Senior AV Technician to join our higher education client. This role is responsible for supporting the successful execution of live events by providing hands-on audiovisual (AV) and event coordination support. The ideal candidate is a dependable and personable professional who is comfortable working directly with presenters, performing sound checks, setting up microphones and AV equipment, and ensuring a seamless experience for attendees. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain proactive and composed in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. An Associate degree and prior event or AV experience are required.
