Beacon Hill Associates is hiring for a Receptionist to support front desk operations and administrative functions within a professional office environment.
Assignment Details
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch (no overtime)
Type: Contract
Pay Rate: 17-18/Hr
Parking: Free onsite parking
Dress Code: Business Casual
Software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Position Summary
The Receptionist provides front-desk coverage and administrative support within a busy office environment. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and vendors while ensuring smooth day-to-day reception operations. Responsibilities include greeting guests, managing incoming calls, coordinating deliveries, and assisting with general administrative tasks to support office efficiency.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Front Desk & Visitor Support
- Greet and direct visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience
- Maintain visitor logs and issue security passes or badges as needed
- Answer and route incoming phone calls through the office switchboard
Administrative & Clerical Support
- Provide clerical assistance including typing, filing, photocopying, and preparing mailers
- Assist with document preparation and general office administrative tasks
- Maintain organized records and files
Mail, Deliveries & Office Coordination
- Receive and send packages through courier services
- Coordinate boardroom schedules and ensure meeting spaces are properly prepared
- Support general office operations and assist with additional administrative needs as required
Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0-2 years of administrative, clerical, or customer service experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
