Position Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll Developer to join an HR Technology team supporting a large, business-critical U.S. payroll environment. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle HCM Payroll, combining strong functional payroll knowledge with hands-on technical experience.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, payroll processing, Fast Formulas, payroll elements, BI Publisher, data loads, integrations, and troubleshooting. This person will work closely with Payroll Operations, HR, Compensation, Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Technology teams.

This is a long-term contract-to-hire opportunity for someone who can come in, contribute quickly, document existing processes, and help strengthen the team’s Oracle HCM Payroll knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as an SME for Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll and end-to-end U.S. payroll processing.
  • Troubleshoot payroll processing, calculation, tax, costing, balance, retroactive processing, and reconciliation issues.
  • Configure and maintain payroll elements, element eligibility, input values, balances, Fast Formulas, lookup values, and value sets.
  • Design, configure, test, document, and implement Oracle HCM enhancements.
  • Support payroll production cycles and resolve production issues.
  • Develop and troubleshoot HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL), HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, and OTBI.
  • Query Oracle HCM tables and data structures for troubleshooting, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Support integrations between Payroll, Core HR, Compensation, UKG, and external vendors using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Test Oracle HCM configurations, integrations, patches, and quarterly updates.
  • Identify defects, conduct root-cause analysis, and partner with technical and functional teams through resolution.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, testing results, and production support materials.
  • Support Internal Audit, SOX, and payroll regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Help establish best practices and provide knowledge transfer to other members of the team.
