A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Legal Assistant to support a busy corporate transactions team. This role focuses on Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, lien searches, transactional documentation, and database management in connection with complex financing and development matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate UCC filing and lien search projects from initiation through completion.
  • Analyze lien search results and monitor project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepare, review, and file UCC financing statements, amendments, assignments, continuations, and terminations.
  • Review transaction-related documents and related filings for compliance with applicable jurisdictional requirements.
  • Maintain and update UCC databases, track filing expirations, and manage follow-up actions.
  • Compile filing acknowledgments and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Assist with training initiatives and knowledge-sharing related to UCC processes and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate daily time entries and support overall team operations.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of corporate legal assistant experience with significant UCC filing (UCC 1 and Article 9) and lien search experience.
  • Strong understanding of UCC filing requirements and related transactional documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal technology platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when business needs require.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience supporting complex financing, secured lending, or corporate transactions.
