Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate UCC filing and lien search projects from initiation through completion.
- Analyze lien search results and monitor project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare, review, and file UCC financing statements, amendments, assignments, continuations, and terminations.
- Review transaction-related documents and related filings for compliance with applicable jurisdictional requirements.
- Maintain and update UCC databases, track filing expirations, and manage follow-up actions.
- Compile filing acknowledgments and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Assist with training initiatives and knowledge-sharing related to UCC processes and best practices.
- Maintain accurate daily time entries and support overall team operations.
- Provide guidance to junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of corporate legal assistant experience with significant UCC filing (UCC 1 and Article 9) and lien search experience.
- Strong understanding of UCC filing requirements and related transactional documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal technology platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime when business needs require.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience supporting complex financing, secured lending, or corporate transactions.
