  • Identify scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints and implement solutions before they impact production.
  • Monitor project milestones and communicate potential delays or risks to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Project Managers to establish realistic production and completion timelines.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
  • Work closely with Operations to align production plans with manufacturing capabilities and shop floor resources.
  • Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems, including bills of materials, routings, lead times, and capacity information.
  • Support inventory accuracy and material availability to prevent production disruptions.
  • Determine purchasing timelines based on production requirements and customer commitments.
  • Continuously adjust schedules to meet changing priorities while maintaining delivery performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, master planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain planning.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, capacity planning, and scheduling principles.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Operations, Purchasing, and Project Management teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated expertise in critical-path and network scheduling, including managing dependencies, critical paths, and schedule float.
  • Hands-on experience with finite-capacity planning and constraint-based scheduling methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across shared resources and outside vendors.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to build schedules based on realistic lead times, resource availability, and operational constraints.
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks and resolving issues before they impact production or customer delivery commitments.
