This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you’ll help shape development practices, drive modernization efforts, and influence how enterprise platforms evolve over time. You’ll work closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that support long-term organizational goals.

What You’ll Do
Team Leadership & Development
Help create a strong, accountable, and collaborative engineering culture by:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of software and application professionals
- Supporting career growth, performance development, and continuous learning
- Establishing clear expectations and fostering a culture of ownership and delivery excellence
- Guiding teams through evolving priorities and organizational change
Application Delivery & Modernization
Drive the successful delivery of technology solutions that support business objectives by:
- Overseeing the design, development, testing, and deployment of business-critical applications
- Providing technical guidance on architecture, design approaches, and development standards
- Supporting modernization efforts and complex platform integrations
- Ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with long-term technology goals
Engineering Excellence & Governance
Help build sustainable processes that improve quality and consistency by:
- Establishing development standards, release practices, and operational governance
- Improving software delivery workflows and deployment automation
- Promoting effective testing, documentation, source control, and quality practices
- Leveraging metrics and performance insights to drive continuous improvement
Partnership & Business Alignment
Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders by:
- Collaborating with leaders across business and technology functions
- Translating business needs into practical technology solutions
- Helping prioritize initiatives and align resources to organizational objectives
- Supporting strategic initiatives, platform enhancements, and ongoing operational needs
What You Bring
We’re looking for a leader with a blend of people management experience, technical depth, and business partnership skills.
Candidates typically bring:
- Experience leading software development or application-focused teams
- Insurance, financial services, banking, or other regulated industry experience
- A background working with modern Microsoft-based application environments
- Expertise guiding development projects from concept through deployment and ongoing support
- Experience building or improving development standards, delivery processes, and governance practices
- Exposure to cloud technologies, application integration, and automated delivery pipelines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience operating in complex, regulated, or enterprise environments
- A collaborative leadership style with a focus on coaching and accountability
Success in this role includes balancing technical leadership with people leadership while helping teams deliver reliable solutions that create measurable business value.
Nice to Have
While not required, the following experience would be valuable
- Enterprise platform modernization or digital transformation initiatives
- Agile or Scrum-based delivery environments
- Experience supporting large-scale business system implementations
- Exposure to policy administration, business process, workflow, or product configuration platforms
- Experience leading distributed or multi-location teams
- Background working with enterprise cloud platforms and DevOps practices
