A Beacon Hill client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Bookkeeper/Administrator to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. This is a contract to hire opportunity offering $27/hr to $32/hr hourly, depending on experience. It’s a great opportunity for someone with bookkeeping experience who is looking for long term stability and the chance to grow within a structured accounting environment while gaining exposure to month end and year end close activities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong bookkeeping background, experience supporting HR functions, and comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
Position Summary:
  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Process payroll and maintain employee payroll records
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and cash flow tracking
  • Support job costing, purchase order management, and vendor invoice processing
  • Coordinate annual tax preparation activities with the outside CPA
  • Maintain employee records, I-9 documentation, and personnel files
  • Facilitate onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration
  • Track PTO, leave requests, and employee compliance documentation
  • Provide recruiting support through job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling
  • Assist with workers’ compensation reporting and OSHA log maintenance
  • Support administrative operations across multiple affiliated business entities
Technical Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or full-charge bookkeeping experience
  • Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
  • Experience with an ERP or accounting software required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of onboarding, employee records management, and HR administration
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detai
