Location: Fort Worth, TX 76107
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Assignment Duration: ASAP through December 31, 2026
Employment Type: Temporary (Leave Coverage)
Pay Rate: Up to $20.00/hour
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to support shipping, receiving, and inventory control operations during a maternity leave coverage assignment. This role combines warehouse logistics responsibilities with clerical and data-entry functions, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to work accurately within multiple databases and tracking systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling shipping and receiving documentation, verifying inventory records, and maintaining accurate logistics data while ensuring compliance with established procedures and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving duties in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
- Review packing slips, shipping documents, bills of lading, and related paperwork for accuracy.
- Verify part numbers, serial numbers, and contractual requirements.
- Utilize computer systems and databases to track, log, verify, and report inventory and shipment activity.
- Maintain accurate records of materials received and shipped.
- Follow established shipping procedures, transportation routing, schedules, and requirements.
- Process liability sign-offs and other receiving documentation.
- Investigate and report discrepancies in shipments, inventory, or documentation.
- Support inventory control and logistics operations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Up to one (1) year of specialized training or instruction in general office procedures.
- Minimum of four (4) years of directly related logistics, shipping/receiving, warehouse, or clerical experience OR six (6) years of related experience with a high school diploma/equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with shipping documentation, inventory records, and logistics databases.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Experience working in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or inventory control environments.
- Familiarity with transportation, routing, and logistics tracking systems.
Ideal Candidate
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong data-entry accuracy.
- Comfortable working in both office and warehouse settings.
- Able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining compliance with procedures and documentation requirements.
- Experienced in tracking inventory, verifying shipment information, and maintaining accurate logistics records.
