Import/Export Specialist (Manufacturing)

Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional customer service to customers, distributors, and internal teams
* Receive and process unit and parts orders from customers, sales, distributors, and subsidiaries
* Accurately enter and validate orders within the company system
* Coordinate domestic and international shipments via ground and air freight
* Obtain shipment specifications and communicate requirements to freight carriers and forwarders
* Manage import and export bookings, including routing and scheduling
* Initiate and coordinate pickups and deliveries with authorized agents and freight forwarders
* Prepare and process shipping documentation, including commercial and customs/regulatory documents in accordance with country-specific impot/export regulations
* Ensure compliance with letters of credit and other purchase order requirements
* Identify and resolve shipment issues or discrepancies in a timely manner
* Communicate effectively with customers, foreign agents, and internal teams through high-volume email and phone interactions
* Provide delivery updates to the Sales team and other stakeholders
* Maintain compliance with internal policies, government regulations, and customer requirements
* Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2+ years of experience in import and/or export operations
* Knowledge of U.S. an international import/export laws and regulations
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions
* Strong attention to detail and follow-through
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe
* Experience with Salesforce and/or Dynamics 365 is a plus
