Banking Branch Operations Specialist
Credit union in Pineville looking for a Branch Operations Specialist. Contract to Hire. Regular Business Hours, M-F.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome members and visitors to the Credit Union in a professional manner. Represent the Credit Union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
- Provide in‐person and by‐telephone general and specific service‐related information concerning Credit Union products or policies.
- Monitor and respond to all email (including Blue Flame Inbox) or other electronic requests submitted by members, again providing professional, prompt, efficient, and accurate service and information.
- Respond to members’ requests, problems, and complaints, resolving issues, and/or directing them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance via phone.
- Open or close accounts in person or online and service existing accounts. Set up new account files, and provide members with all necessary information for membership.
- Handle requests from members for transfers of shares to loan payments, share withdrawals,
check requests, Opening or Closing Certificate of Deposits/transactions, line of credit advances, gift cards and any other requests received from members in person, online or on the phone.
- Promote credit union products and services based on member needs that are obtained from member interviews and/or review of member’s account. Actively cross‐sell products.
- Up‐to‐date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services that are handled or promoted by Member Service Representatives. Up‐to‐day and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies and procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist members in opening, closing, and transacting on Certificate of Deposit (CD) Accounts and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA’s). (If Applicable)
- Assist members with proper completion of payroll deduction and direct deposit cards.
- Assist Members in setting up online banking and mobile applications and troubleshooting issues with online or mobile products.
- Responsible for cash ordering, handling & processing.
- Process member mail transactions daily and process returned mail on a regular basis.
- Teller work and transactions as necessary based on staffing needs.
- Balance Teller Drawer Daily. Research and resolve discrepancies as needed. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary. Help other tellers research and resolve discrepancies.
- Balancing the Main Vault, ATM, TCR & Coin Recycler on a regularly scheduled or as needed basis. Keeping a log of balancing procedures for all balancing. Remove full Coin Recycler bags (50 lbs.) with provided cart as needed.
- Check night depository vault and bags daily and record proper information according to Credit Union procedures.
- Opening & closing the branch as scheduled and processing daily bank deposits.
- Branch Operations, EFT/ACH, Mastercard, Bill Pay, Mobile Deposit Capture (MDC), and Share Draft processing. Monitor all reports generated for balancing. Balance and maintain all aspects of Credit Union electronic transactions and EFT/ACH Operations.
- Responsible for correcting daily processing errors associated with all electronic transactions.
- Process Incoming and Outgoing wire transfers.
- Order ATM/Debit Cards, Checks & issue Visa Gift Cards, Official Checks and U.S. Savings Bonds (if applicable).
- Responsible for all aspects of ATM/Debit card activity including but not limited to ordering new cards, activating cards, contacting network provider, change of addresses, processing disputes, increasing limits and daily balancing.
- Process and file member disputes for EFT, ACH, and Debit Card Transactions.
- Process, pay and balance member insurance premiums monthly.
- Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
