Our client, a private equity firm in Midtown West, is seeking a Temporary Administrative Receptionist to cover a maternity leave within their office. This is a highly visible role supporting a team of 12-14 employees and will combine reception, office management, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and comfortable interacting with investors, executives, and portfolio company management teams while helping ensure the office runs smoothly day to day. The role will be on-site Tuesday through Thursday and remote on Mondays and Fridays. The hours are 8:30am-5pm or 9am-5:30pm. Compensation ranges from $31-43/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary receptionist and first point of contact for all visitors, investors, portfolio company representatives, and vendors
- Greet and assist guests while maintaining a professional office environment
- Manage conference room scheduling and meeting logistics
- Assist with office management duties and day-to-day operations
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements
- Support invoice preparation and administrative reporting
- Maintain office supplies, vendor relationships, and general office organization
- Assist with scheduling and calendar coordination as needed
- Provide general administrative support to the team and leadership
- Handle ad hoc projects and operational tasks in a collaborative office environment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of reception, administrative, office management, or executive support experience
- Previous experience within financial services, private equity, hedge funds, or professional services strongly preferred
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets and invoices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Professional presentation and client-facing demeanor
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, flexible, and willing to take ownership of office responsibilities
- Comfortable working in a small team environment where everyone contributes to the overall success of the office
