Corporate M&A Associate Attorney

A leading global law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Baltimore office. This opportunity is ideal for a mid-level associate with at least two years of experience advising on mergers & acquisitions transactions for both private and public companies. Candidates with exposure to transactions in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector are strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will have direct large law firm experience, strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized institution, and immediately transferable transactional skills, including experience drafting and negotiating principal acquisition agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary based on experience level and practice needs, and may include:
- Conducting sophisticated legal research and analysis to support transaction strategy and execution
- Drafting and negotiating transaction documents, including acquisition agreements and related contracts
- Managing and supporting high-volume, complex transactions from inception through closing
- Participating in negotiations and assisting with deal execution
- Collaborating with attorneys and business professionals to develop strategic, client-focused solutions
- Maintaining strong client relationships through responsive communication and thoughtful guidance
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while staying current on legal developments
- Contributing to firm initiatives, pro bono efforts, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of corporate (M&A) experience
- Experience at an AmLaw 100 or similarly sophisticated law firm strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating transactional documents
Education & Bar Admission
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Ability to sit for an/or waive into Maryland Bar
