Client Accounting Services (CAS) Manager
The successful candidate will manage client relationships, oversee accounting and advisory engagements, mentor team members, and contribute to the continued growth of a high-performing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage accounting and advisory engagements for privately held organizations, including financial reporting, compilations, reviews, and management reporting.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing guidance on accounting operations, financial management, and process improvement initiatives.
- Advise clients on financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, bookkeeping oversight, and operational efficiencies.
- Provide ongoing support across a variety of accounting, financial, and business initiatives designed to improve performance and operational effectiveness.
- Oversee engagement planning, workflow management, budgets, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality and client service.
- Review work prepared by team members and provide technical guidance on accounting matters and financial reporting requirements.
- Mentor, coach, and develop accounting professionals through training, feedback, and career development support.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a primary point of contact.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client service and support practice growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful engagement delivery and a positive client experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA license or progress toward licensure preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, client accounting services, accounting advisory, outsourced accounting, or a related professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, compilations, and reviews.
- Proven ability to build relationships with clients and communicate effectively with business owners and leadership teams.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting professionals.
- Experience supporting complex advisory engagements, special projects, or strategic business initiatives is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and related business applications.
