Payroll Specialist/Benefits Administrator

PAYROLL:

• Bi-weekly
• Multi-state- 39 states (plus Canada)
• NO union, NO certified payroll

BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION:

• The other part of the job will be supporting benefits admin duties and ad hoc needs- could include open enrollment, HRIS system maintenance, answering employee questions, planning a wellness fair, etc.
• Candidates do NOT need previous experience in this area, just need candidates who want to learn!
• NO employee relations (hiring, firing, etc..)
• This is NOT a managerial level position- individual contributor- but GREAT opportunity for the payroll candidate that wants more- dip their toes in the benefits side of the business

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of hands‑on payroll experience, including multi‑state, multi-FEIN, & Canadian payroll processing
• 0+ years of experience in benefits administration or a strong demonstrated interest in growing in this area
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, taxation, and compliance requirements for the US and Canada
• Experience using HRIS and payroll systems (ADP and SAP Success Factors strongly preferred)

PREFERRED QULAIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or progress toward certification
• Experience supporting HRIS, Benefits, and Total Rewards Functions
