Our client is looking for a contract accountant to start immediately for 6-8 weeks to manage a split of General Ledger maintenance (60%) and Accounts Receivable/Cash Applications (40%). You will support the full accounting cycle, from daily cash processing to month-end close and audit preparation.
- General Ledger (60%): Own assigned G/L areas, including prepaids, accruals, and fixed assets. Prepare and post journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and support month-end close.
- Cash & A/R (40%): Manage daily cash applications in Salesforce and Ellipse. Resolve credit balances, process non-A/R receipts, and support collections/aging reviews.
- Audit & Controls: Assist with audit schedule preparation (10Q support) and maintain internal controls documentation.
- Collaboration: Act as a point of contact for assigned accounting areas and partner across departments to resolve transaction issues.
- Must-Haves: Solid A/R experience (cash apps/receipts) and strong reconciliation skills.
- Preferred Skills: G/L experience, month-end close support, and audit preparation.
- Technical: Excel proficiency (Vlookups and Pivot Tables); Salesforce and Ellipse experience is a plus.
