Automation Test Engineer / Quality Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer / Quality Engineer to support enterprise application testing and quality assurance initiatives. This role is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for complex desktop, legacy, and business-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, Robot Framework, and test automation best practices, along with deep experience supporting healthcare administration platforms and large-scale application upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Build and support desktop and legacy application automation using Python-based tools and frameworks.
  • Improve automation reliability by identifying and eliminating test instability, implementing robust synchronization strategies, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.
  • Execute both manual and automated testing across complex business workflows and integrated systems.
  • Validate business rules, system functionality, data flows, and cross-application dependencies.
  • Support application upgrade and release testing through regression validation, data integrity verification, and post-deployment quality checks.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support automated execution, reporting, and quality metrics.
  • Investigate test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and document defects with clear remediation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and quality teams to define testing strategies and improve QA processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python-based test automation.
  • Expertise with Robot Framework for automating desktop, terminal, and legacy applications.
  • Experience using Pywinauto and Pytest.
  • Knowledge of automation framework design patterns, including Page Object Model (POM).
  • Proven experience building stable, maintainable automated test suites and reducing test flakiness.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and test design techniques.
  • Deep experience working with FACETS, including application functionality, workflows, data processing, and upgrade testing.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based test execution environments.
  • Familiarity with performance or load testing tools.
  • SQL experience for data validation, test data preparation, and troubleshooting.
