Junior Healthcare Project Manager
Looking for real healthcare delivery experience + enterprise/ePMO project ownership + requirements gathering. A generic IT PM without healthcare operations exposure would be a weaker match.
Must Haves
- 5+ years of Project Management experience, including ownership of moderately to highly complex projects
- Strong healthcare delivery experience within ambulatory, hospital/acute care, and/or post-acute environments
- Experience managing projects in a large enterprise/ePMO environment
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple business and technical stakeholders
- Strong requirements gathering experience working with operational leaders and frontline stakeholders
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions
- Ability to independently manage projects with minimal supervision and drive work forward in ambiguous situations
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and executive-level communication skills
- Experience using standard project management methodologies, tools, and software
- Strong critical thinking, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- PMP or equivalent Project Management certification
- Business Analysis / BA experience
- Experience supporting healthcare operational transformation or process improvement initiatives
- Experience working within a large enterprise PMO
- Experience using AI tools to improve project management productivity and efficiency
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute moderately complex healthcare projects from initiation through completion
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables
- Lead cross-functional project teams and drive accountability for project commitments
- Gather and document business and operational requirements
- Identify, track, and resolve project risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions
- Facilitate meetings and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups
- Monitor project performance against schedule, scope, and budget
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders
- Partner with operational teams to support process improvement and transformation initiatives
- Independently assess project challenges, develop recommendations, and drive projects forward
