Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the Accounts Receivable function through collections, billing, invoicing, customer account management, and month-end activities. This role partners closely with internal project teams and external customers to ensure timely collections and accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage collections for a high-volume portfolio of subcontract and customer invoices
- Prepare monthly statements, collection forecasts, and aging analyses
- Monitor and help reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
- Process progress billings, customer invoicing, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate insurance certificates, lien-related documentation, and project compliance requirements
- Process credit card transactions and vendor releases as needed
- Partner with customers and internal teams to resolve billing and collection issues
- Support month-end reconciliations and account balancing
- Maintain project documentation and archive completed projects
- Navigate multiple ERP systems, customer portals, and reporting platforms
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and customer account management
- Ten-key proficiency
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Professional communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
