A well-established real estate organization is seeking a Property Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This role will support a portfolio of properties and be responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, budgeting support, variance analysis, and audit preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Manage month-end close activities, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Analyze budget-to-actual variances and financial performance
- Assist with annual budgets, audits, and tax reporting
- Support lender compliance and other financial reporting requirements
- Partner closely with property management and cross-functional teams
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Property accounting or real estate industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
