Client Accountant
Seattle, WA | Hybrid (3 Days In Office)
$75,000 – $90,000 + Bonus
Join a growing and highly respected advisory organization that partners with successful individuals, families, and nonprofit entities. Due to continued growth, our client is adding a Client Accountant to their collaborative accounting team.
This role is ideal for an accountant who enjoys combining technical accounting with client interaction. You’ll manage a portfolio of nonprofit and foundation accounts, work directly with stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting activities for nonprofit organizations, private foundations, and related entities
- Prepare month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, and reporting packages
- Monitor cash activity, grants, disbursements, and fund balances
- Track restricted and unrestricted funds
- Coordinate invoice processing, payments, and financial transactions
- Support audits, tax reporting, and special projects
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and internal partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Nonprofit and/or private foundation accounting experience required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience is a plus
