Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Milwaukee Area

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support operations within a fast-paced food and beverage manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with safety and food quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on production, processing, and packaging equipment to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Diagnose equipment issues and complete timely repairs to support continuous production
  • Conduct inspections of machinery and facility systems to identify potential problems
  • Install, adjust, and maintain equipment such as conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging machinery
  • Replace or repair defective components including belts, bearings, sensors, and electrical parts
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage
  • Support equipment changeovers, setups, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed in accordance with safety policies and food manufacturing standards (GMPs, sanitation, etc.)
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize disruptions and maintain product quality
  • Assist with facility maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience (food or beverage environment preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systems
  • Experience troubleshooting production equipment and reading schematics or diagrams
  • Familiarity with PLCs, motors, conveyors, and automated systems
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools to complete repairs
  • Understanding of safety regulations and food manufacturing standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable working around production equipment, in varying temperatures, and in confined spaces when needed
