Beacon Hill Associates is hiring a Dispatcher / Service Coordinator. This role serves as the operational hub between customers, field technicians, and internal teams by coordinating service schedules, managing work orders, and ensuring efficient communication to support daily service operations.


Assignment Details

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch (no flexibility)
Duration: Contract-to-permanent
Pay Rate: $22/hr
Work Environment: Onsite
Parking: Free and open parking available
Dress Code: Business casual (clean, well-maintained jeans acceptable)


Position Summary

The Dispatcher / Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily service operations by managing incoming work requests, scheduling technicians, and maintaining accurate job records within the system. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient communication between customers, field technicians, and internal departments while supporting timely completion of service requests. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced operational environment.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Work Order Management

  • Enter new jobs into the system based on requests from internal teams or field staff
  • Monitor active work orders to ensure accuracy and progress toward completion
  • Follow up on open work orders to maintain timelines and ensure closure
  • Close out completed jobs and confirm job summaries are finalized

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Coordinate scheduling of service jobs and technician assignments
  • Communicate scheduling updates with internal teams as needed
  • Track field technician locations and activity using system tools

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Provide status updates and operational reports to leadership
  • Enter purchase orders for materials or products requested by field technicians
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities within the system

Performance Tracking

  • Ensure service jobs are confirmed with customers and properly documented
  • Assist with preparation of operational reports and performance tracking metrics

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in dispatching, service coordination, scheduling, or administrative operations preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience working with scheduling or operations management systems preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills
