Our client, a leading investment firm located in downtown Austin, TX, is seeking an Office Services Coordinator to serve as the face of the office while supporting daily operations, reception duties, and office logistics. This individual will manage front desk responsibilities, coordinate office services, and ensure a smooth, professional workplace environment. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. The work environment is professional, polished, and highly visible within the organization. This is a fully onsite role, with an 8:30-5:30 schedule. This has a temp-to-hire timeline of around 3 months with potential for conversion. Compensation is up to 27hr when temping and 60K on a base once permanent.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and employees, maintaining a professional and welcoming presence
- Manage front desk operations including greeting guests and handling incoming inquiries
- Coordinate with building security for guest access and office safety procedures
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming packages and mail
- Maintain office inventory, ensuring supplies are fully stocked at all times
- Organize and coordinate team lunches, meetings, and office events
- Support general office services and administrative tasks as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of common areas and conference rooms
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and moving office items
- Balance sitting, standing, and movement throughout the day while maintaining productivity
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a corporate office environment or professional services
- Strong professional presence with polished communication skills
- Proven reliability and punctuality (non-negotiable based on prior experience)
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Sound judgment and ability to handle sensitive or high-visibility situations
- Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and remaining active throughout the day
