Staff Accountant – Payroll
Location: Lancaster, PA (100% in office)
We’re working with a growing company in Lancaster that is expanding its accounting team and adding a Staff Accountant focused on payroll support and operational accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide backup support for payroll processing
Assist with people cost reporting and analysis (wages, benefits, labor-related costs)
Support month-end close, including journal entries and account analysis
Help with operational and financial reporting
Analyze general ledger accounts and support ad hoc reporting needs
What They’re Looking For:
3+ years of accounting experience
Payroll exposure (processing or backup support)
Solid understanding of GAAP
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Comfortable working cross-functionally with accounting, payroll, and operations
Experience in a mid-sized company or operational environment preferred
ERP experience a plus
