In the article, Erica shares her personal journey with Raise, describing how the group became an invaluable resource after her return from maternity leave. “I joined Raise during a time when I was struggling with feelings of guilt about going back to work,” she explains. “Being part of a group that included others who had experienced or were currently navigating similar challenges became an invaluable resource.”

Beacon Hill launched its Employee Resource Networks in 2023 under the leadership of Employee IMPACT Committee Resource Manager Chelsie Walsh, creating spaces for employees to connect, share experiences and cultivate inclusivity. Among them, Raise provides a supportive environment for parents and caregivers through monthly discussions, group chats and advice-sharing sessions tailored to help employees balance work and family life.

Erica’s leadership role within Raise has allowed her to further engage with colleagues across departments, strengthening workplace relationships and contributing to a more supportive corporate culture. “Taking on the role of co-lead allowed me to channel my knowledge into something meaningful,” she shares. “It has strengthened my connection to the Raise community and allowed me to become more actively involved in the company, fostering relationships across teams and contributing to a more inclusive workplace culture.”
