Delivering Flexibility and Cost Savings by Placing Talent for a Network Operations Center​

Challenge

Our client, an American seller of designer and name-brand shoes and fashion accessories, needed staff to run its network operations center. The network operations center roles were originally outsourced to a different provider. However, the provider was not supporting the company the way they wanted, including not providing any documentation and having prices beyond our client’s budget. ​

Solution

After being brought back in-house, Beacon Hill Technologies, known for our expertise in IT staffing and our ability to provide high-quality candidates, was selected to staff our client’s entire network operations center (NOC). We filled five long-term contract roles, including infrastructure specialists handling network monitoring, patching, and administration tasks. ​

These roles provided a pipeline of consultants who could be converted to internal full-time employees (FTEs) while providing operational support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. ​

Achievements

Most of our consultants were either converted to full-time employees with our client, promoted, or stayed on long-term. The group continually takes on more responsibilities from other IT departments, demonstrating their growth and development.
