BH Technologies™ Case Study

Quickly Delivering a Team of Information Technology Support Analysts

Challenge

A two-billion-dollar IT client engaged us to source and deliver a team of thirty quick IT support analysts to augment their current service desk headcount for a very large application rollout and systems upgrades. They also wanted candidates who were willing and open to converting at the end of their engagement. The client sought a partner to help them simplify the hiring process, manage the resources while on the project, and maintain proper staffing levels.

Solution

Beacon Hill Technologies worked directly with the hiring manager to establish and simplify his interview process. We pre-scheduled interview time blocks with the hiring manager so that all interviews with qualified candidates would occur during those times. The hiring manager conducted a thirty- to forty-five-minute phone interview that mixed technical and behavioral questions. If they felt the candidate was a good fit, they received an offer the same day, and we initiated onboarding.

We conducted weekly training classes to streamline the process and avoid having our consultants wait for all hires to be completed. This empowered us to keep candidates and consultants engaged, as well as onboard between five and ten people each week. Additionally, understanding that we were sourcing and onboarding talent in a competitive market, we provided consultants who completed their contract with a completion bonus.

Achievements

Based on our past performance with the client, Beacon Hill Technologies in Pittsburgh was selected as the exclusive partner, providing most of their onsite IT contractors. Beacon Hill Technologies worked with our client’s service desk manager, developed a rapid deployment schedule, and delivered the thirty-person team within their short timeframe.
