Attracting Essential IT Technology and SDLC Resources for Healthcare and Health Plan Groups
Challenge
Our client, a not-for-profit healthcare organization, needed help managing their onboarding and compliance processes, as well as recruiting and retaining application and business intelligence (BI) developers for their enterprise analytics team. Our client was also implementing rebranding initiatives requiring their leadership to juggle competing company initiatives.
Solution
Beacon Hill Technologies’ recruiters faced several challenges in the recruitment process. These included understanding the group’s unique requirements and the competition for top IT and software development lifecycle (SDLC) talent, as well as aligning the recruited talent with the organization’s culture and values.
To address these challenges, we collaborated closely with our client’s hiring managers, holding calls to acquire the information to target and attract the appropriate talent. These discussions gave us different perspectives on how to drive our customized recruiting strategies.
We also conducted post-interview meetings with hiring managers to solicit their feedback on the candidates we presented. We met regularly with hiring managers in person, held appreciation lunches, and participated in team outings to build rapport. We even asked about our client’s future projects and the types of candidates they anticipated needing.
Our goals were to learn as much information about our client’s current and future projects, find out what worked for them in the past, as well as the specific qualities and characteristics of their ideal candidates. We aimed to make good matches for both the client and the candidate.
Achievements
Overall, we placed forty-seven consultants, including ten application and BI developers. We also provided digital solutions candidates and helped place talent to help their rebranding projects. We filled positions with quality candidates quickly while also completing all assigned tasks.
Our ability to effectively and successfully recruit talent resulted in the client using our services to assist with staffing needs throughout their organization. In fact, we are exclusively working with one hiring manager to provide quality assurance analysts (QAs) and testers, and we are also supporting other departments as needed. Ultimately, we have helped grow our client’s overall market share.
